Hey Akala man, good to see you about again, only just noticed you have a new album?! gonna have to buy that asap.
Just wanted to say I grew up with your music man and listening to people like you and Lowkey has helped me a lot in my life in some weird ways.. it's weird cause I kinda feel I know you with the things you say, hope you keep saying them.
Well done in your documentary on Hip Hop on Ch4 the other day.. Bring on the Hip Hop Renaissance brother... With tracks like this u can inspire a generation!!
Akala my friend, I been trying to get my familly and friends to see through the veil for years now with little impact on most of them, I shared this fire in the booth session with my sister and within half an hour i recieved a call from her and you've managed to slap her in the face with the reality you spit, You've managed in 8 minutes to do what i have failed to do in years. Keep on keeping on my friend....respect!
Akala, there are many things I want to ask you but I Feel I can't put u on a pedestal it's terrible the things the youts see but I suppose it's inevitable when we are suffocated by criminals -but boy I just prey they get home safely when there dinners due..... I was going to write something totally different but that little rhyme just came out of nowere haha. In all seriousness though your lyrics have freed me from a mental prison. They can keep the charts because you have all our hearts. Peace, unity and equality my friend. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
